Hi Sayeed and welcome to his forum!

You asked how long it will take to assess your wife's medical education. As you can read further down the link you posted the assessment will take approximately a year:
How long will you have to wait?
The amount of time it takes us to process your application will depend on how many others we have received at that point. Right now we are reviewing the applications we received in June 2015.
If her medical school is on the British GMC-list, then her education will most likely be recognised and accepted in Sweden as well.

Best of luck to the two of you :tur:

Bangladeshi Medical Education Assessment in Sweden

My wife has residency permit & possible to have until 2019 then we both could be permanent residents of Sweden followed by Citizenship. I think, residency permit would be not an issue for our case.

However, if assessment from http://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/ ... -education outcomes negatives and my wife needs to be registered as a doctor in Bangladesh (which would need 1 year internship there), this would greatly create problem for use.

By the way, is there any Medical education assessment resulted in negative?

How long does this assessment need???

Bangladeshi Medical Education Assessment in Sweden

av Nils » 09 mar 2016, 16:43

Hello sayeed and zinnia,

It should be possible, as long as you have a medical degree from a university that is recognised by Socialstyrelsen. The usual steps for fresh medical graduates from outside of the EU, regardless of whether they have a medical license in their home country or not, are:

1. apply for recognition of education, get permits for living in Sweden, demonstrate proficiency in the Swedish language, and so on

2. complete and pass the TULE test or one of the supplementary years

3. apply for AT, complete AT, get Swedish medical license

4. apply for ST (specialist residency)

Hello

My wife just completed her Medical Degree (6 years) from Bangladesh but she does not want to do 1 year internship there in Bangladesh. Since I am living here in Sweden alone and she needs to move here soon.( she visited Sweden twice before and she Swedish person number). she gets all the documents from her university and collage as per http://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/ ... education

She does not want to be register as a Doctor in Bangladesh which needs to do 1 year internship there in Bangladesh.

Is there any problem if I apply for assessing her medical education at http://www.socialstyrelsen.se/ without being registered at Bangladesh Medical Association

???
