The state budget proposal from the government was rejected by the Riksdag, in favour of the state budget proposal from the alliance of four opposition parties.

The above mentioned proposal was not mirrored in their state budget proposal and so the budget appropriation will most likely stay at 70 million SEK, for the time being.

Under 2014 har 70 miljoner kronor avsatts för kompletterande utbildningar för läkare, tandläkare, sjuksköterskor, lärare och jurister. [...] Regeringen föreslår att ytterligare 20 miljoner kronor avsätts för 2015. [...] Regeringen beräknar att 20 miljoner kronor fortsatt avsätts årligen fr.o.m. 2016.
A simple translation of this is that the budget appropriation for supplementary educations for foreign graduates, including medical degree graduates, is increased from 70 to 90 million SEK. This may make it easier for foreign medical graduates to get a spot in a supplementary education prior to taking TULE.
