Samtidigt har antalet f\u00f6rstahandsans\u00f6kare \u00f6kat med ungef\u00e4r 70 %. Detta inneb\u00e4r att \u00f6kningen av antalet f\u00f6rstahandsans\u00f6kare har h\u00e5llit ungef\u00e4r j\u00e4mna steg med \u00f6kningen av antalet antagningsplatser vid de svenska l\u00e4karprogrammen.<\/p>\n<p>En hypotes som har f\u00f6rekommit p\u00e5 senare \u00e5r \u00e4r att l\u00e4karprogrammet kan ha f\u00f6rlorat sin tidigare status p\u00e5 grund av, eller m\u00f6jligen som orsak till, de l\u00e4gre antagningsgr\u00e4nserna.
